Nils Bourland

Background

A bio-engineering graduate (1999), Nils Bourland worked for five years as a research assistant in the Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech’s (ULg) Forestry and Natural Environment Resource Management Unit. He then carried out various support, technical assistance and consultancy missions in Gabonon behalf of Nature +, a not for profit organization created by the Silviculture Unit in order to promote the sustainable management of tropical forest ecosystems in taking into account ecological and social functions. From 2006 to 2008 he carried out scientific research in Cameroon, looking into the factors responisble for the biodiversity of tropical forests. At the moment he is a doctoral student at the Forestry Laboratory of Tropical and Subtropical Regions (LFRTS).
