Marianne Voz

Background

Having gained her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Liège, Marianne Voz began a doctoral thesis on the Transcriptional regulation by thyroid hormones of the prolactin gene family, under the supervision of Professor Joseph Martial, a thesis which she defended in 1992. She then carried out postdoctoral work for three years at the Salk Institute, over the course of which she studied the transcriptional regulation of the HIV virus. In 1996 she returned to Belgium and began a second postdoctoral study period at Leuven, where she focused her research on the characterisation of salivary gland tumours. Since October 1, 2000, Marianne Voz has been a FNRS research associate and today studies the development of the pancreas.
