Born in Liège in 1974, Dick Tomasovic first of all developed a passion for theatre and very quickly stepped onto the stage. He studied Communications at the University of Liège (degree obtained in 1996). It was there, in his first year, that he really encountered the cinema: ‘Everything began with a history of cinema course, which created the passion.’ Obtaining an FNRS mandate after his studies he worked on cinema, making a couple of short films, and became a lecturer at the Communication Arts and Sciences Department in performance theory and practice. But he has always ‘kept an eye on the living stage’ and, as a teacher, is very much interested in the links between live performance and recorded performance.
