Philippe Vincent

Background

Philippe Vincent has a degree in law from the University of Liège, a special degree in European law from the University of Gand (1993) and a Doctorate in Law awarded by the Université de Paris X - Nanterre (1998). His thesis was devoted to ‘_The developments in the way developing countries are treated by GATT and the World Trade Organisation._’ His most recent work was published in 2010, entitled “L’OMC et les pays en développement” [The WTO and developing countries]” was an extension of and update to his thesis. He began his university career with the ULg in 1991 and since 1999 has been assistant lecturer in the Faculty of Law. He has written numerous studies on the relationships between the WTO and developing countries, international trade relationships, the Common Agricultural Policy and the law of the sea. He has overseen the work Droit International (International Law), published by Larcier, and is associate secretary of the editorial committee of the Belgian review of international law and contributes to the Review of international law and comparative law. Last but not least, he is an advocate at the Liège bar.
