Background Geoffroy Matagne is a political scientist, research professor and associate lecturer at the University of Liège, and vice-president of the Belgian Association of Political Science (French Speaking Community). His work focuses mainly on comparative social policies, the new articulations between employment policies and social security systems and the Belgian political system. He is an editorial administrator for the Fédéralisme-Régionalisme journal. He has recently co-produced the book Le conflit social éludé (Social Conflict Eluded) (Louvain-la-neuve, Academia Bruylant, 2008).
