Frédéric Jans

Background

Frédéric Jans received his Master’s degree in biochemistry in 2003, and his DEA in biological sciences in 2004 from the University of Liège, and then worked on a dissertation while working for two different laboratories, the plant biochemistry and photobiology laboratory of Fabrice Franck (his dissertation director) and the Microorganism genetics laboratory of Claire Remacle (co-director). During his doctoral work, from 2004 to 2008, Frédéric Jans closely studied the lateral injection of electrons in the chain of electron transporters involved in the process of photosynthesis in the green microalgae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.
