Corinne Catale

Background

Corinne Catale has a degree in Psychology. This clinical neuropsychologist is at the present time an assistant at the University of Liège, in the department of cognitive sciences, where she is preparing a doctoral thesis on the subject of ‘A developmental and neuropsychological approach to executive functions in young children.’

Through looking at the development of new assessment tools (hence the reason for publishing RAST) her work fundamentally aims at understanding better how executive and attention related functions develop in young children (from children of school age to young adolescents). As for her clinical research, it has the aim of characterising the nature of attention and executive function difficulties in children who present acquired disorders (for example in cases of cranial traumatism) or developmental problems (for example attention difficulties, with or without hyperactivity) in order to find the most effective pathways to remedy these difficulties.

From a clinical point of view she has also contributed, in collaboration with Professor Thierry Meulemans, to the development of a specialised consultation in child neuropsychology within the Neuropsychology Unit.
