Stéphane Caut

Background

Stéphane Caut obtained a Masters in the Biology of Populations and Ecosystems at the University of Paris XI in 2001. At the suggestion of Professor Marc Girondot he spent six months in French Guyana and carried out a DES on the subject of ‘The Conservation of French Guyana sea turtles: incubation and nesting beach success’. In 2003 he obtained a DEA in ecology at the ‘Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon on biological reactions and chain reactions concerning the impact of the black rat on New Caledonia. From 2003 to 2006 he undertook a doctorate under the supervision of Professor Franck Courchamp at the University of Paris XI, and worked in his thesis on the subject of biological invasions, chain reactions and trophic networks. He is now carrying out post-doctoral studies at the Oceanology Laboratory at the University of Liège.
